In a constant interplay between the feminine, the instinctive, and the wild, 'QUIEBRO y LUZ' explore emotional states and moments of rupture. The characters split and contrast with one another, offering a glimpse of that instant when something has shattered the soul, and the soul reveals itself.

The intention of the paintings is to reveal the tension that arises when emotions surface in the face of such events—tensions that, while they may overwhelm and dominate us, also move and propel us forward. In this sense, the animals represent these impulses; they are the materialization of the inner selves of the human, feminine characters, who emerge to be set free. Thus, these characters can find calm and remain serene, unperturbed, untouchable.

'Quiebro y Luz' (Break and Light) is a depiction of that moment when what threatens to break us ultimately brings out our most powerful and luminous side; when it seems that darkness is coming, light finally emerges, and all of these elements are part of who we are as whole beings.
