The series Projection was born as an abstract exploration of the different possibilities of the portrait. It is with this series that the leap in my work takes place in which I stop painting eyes, expanding the expression beyond the gaze, and searching in the gesture for the different faces of the same essential human being.
 
This artwork number V is the most abstract attempt in the series. Not only are the eyes missing, but no other features of the face appear either. Even so, we know that this character has turned to look at us. It is the projection that would have more to do with our hidden side.
