I began this painting as a study of an experience I had in the summer of 2025, when I was able to observe and connect for a while with a herd of mares.
 
At one point, they all turned around and began to walk toward the horizon, until they disappeared into it. From that moment on, this echo has remained with me, and I cannot stop wondering about their destination, not only on earth, but in life.
