Forgiveness: who is redeemed by it? Is liberation for the forgiven or for the one who forgives? In what moments do we seek it, in what moments do we grant it?
 
This painting came almost at the end of the process of creating the collection. I did not have it planned at first and it was born from the hand of the previous paintings, especially from the Karma series. In this work, a moment of tension is generated in a surreal and magical scenario, in balance between abstraction and figuration, in which there is a reflection on the act of redemption.
What happens when we seek it, but it does not depend entirely on us?
When we ask for forgiveness, does something change in us even if it is not granted? This work, for me, is a source of possible scenarios of which we will never know the resolution, but which give us infinite questions.
