This unique piece began as an exploratory sketch. At a time when I was still discovering my style, I wanted to try new techniques and textures to develop it in the most personal way possible. This work bears witness to a magical moment in which, without pretensions, without any intention of showing any results, the painting came to life in the most authentic way possible: one that is born in a totally organic way, without studies, without preconceived ideas. The result surprised me, because I felt that I had found what I was looking for almost effortlessly. 
 
The experimental nature of the work can be seen in the composition, which gives the impression of incompleteness. The figure emerges in an empty space that conveys the aura of a work that has been started but never finished. Indeed, my intention was solely to find an innovative way to represent the animal. When I did so, I kept this study almost like a totem, with no intention other than to preserve that moment of genuine creation.
 
This study and the technique I developed in it were the origin for the creation of my later work Serenity, and I was never able to erase or complete it, because I wanted to keep alive that pure moment in which I felt I had found myself as an artist.
