In a space considered paradise, beauty and calm are to be expected. Following my work ‘El Jardín’ from 2023, I wanted to explore more about this inner place where, nevertheless, opposite qualities can coexist. A place where shadow and light exist on equal terms; where, in order to shine, there must be darkness. In this collection of paintings I explore, through various winged insects photographed by myself, this duality: about the threats that coexist behind beauty, about the life cycle in which everything that is born must perish and about the perception of the times in between.
