'El Cambio', The Change, is the artwork that has been the most difficult for me to title of the whole collection. I finally decided on that name because I feel it is a turning point in my pictorial style, but not yet consummated. 
 
Created from a session with a natural model, it represents a genesis, a birth, which, however, does not begin with her. Therefore, this work is the turning point for a transformation in my painting, motivated by personal experiences that have meant a before and an after for me, and which are foreshadowed here by the intense use of magenta.
A metaphor for all this is the rising figure surrounded by butterflies; the metamorphosis.
