This painting is created from a search intention, in which what seems to be a fall does not have to have a negative connotation. The figure seems to be, in reality, floating or suspended in an ethereal space. What is it that surrounds it? It could be dreams, or an unknown and unexplored dimension, or the representation of a state of ecstasy.
 
In this work I wanted to contrast the soft and friendly environment with the darkness of the figure, whose face is not seen, because he is no one, just an excuse for the viewer of the painting to project his own essence or the unresolved questions of his inner self.
 
Thus, 'Infinity I' is the instant of a transition, a moment stopped in time in which we do not know if we fly, fall or rise towards the unknown, between glory and emptiness, between the sky and the ground.
 
Free and trapped at the same time, neither above nor below, in the confrontation between light and our own shadows. In what moments of your life have you felt this way?
 
As a curious detail, this work was part of the scenography of the series 'Tración' (Betrayal), a production of RTVE (Spain) in 2017.
